Biography
The young Mexican-born tenor Iván Reséndiz, 21, moved to Austria in 2014 to join the renowned Vienna Boys Choir. As a choirboy, Iván sang many solos at a very young age under the baton of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Adam Fischer and Erwin Ortner.
Upcoming is a debut with the Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection where he debuts in December 2024 as Dr. Blind in J. Strauss' Die Fledermaus.
From 2022 to 2024, the young singer studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Prof. Rainer Trost. As of October 2024 he will continue his studies at the HFMDK in Frankfurt with Prof. Michelle Breedt. He also received important artistic impulses through his collaboration with Matthew Rose and KS Francisco Araiza.
The very young tenor has already made debuts in various Mozart operas, for example as the "First Trojan" (Idomeneo) and as Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
In addition to his debut as Spärlich in Nicolai's masterpiece Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn and his engagement as Lehrbube in Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Wiener Staatsoper, the young tenor also made his solo debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus last season.
