Biography

Raimondo Mazzon, an Italian organist, conductor, harpsichordist, and pianist, was featured in an interview with Corriere della Sera as one of the 'five twenty-year-olds who will save Italy.

He made his debut at the age of 10 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg on the piano and at 12 as an organist in the "Grosse Saal" of the same venue. He regularly performs recitals throughout Europe and recorded his first CD, "Organ Wars," at the age of 17, followed by the complete recording of Vivaldi's Op. 2 sonatasand a CD of Italian music on the organ of the Augustinerkirche in Vienna.

He graduated with honors in organ at the age of 14 in Italy and completed his studies, again with honors, at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (MDW) under P. Peretti.During his musical education, after studying at the conservatories of Venice and Padua with R. Loreggian, P. Turetta, and A. Barutti, he refined his piano skills at the Imola Academy with M. Van Gent, organ at the Civica Claudio Abbado with L. Ghielmi, and harpsichord at the Chigiana Academy in Siena with F. Birsak.

He won his first organ competition at the age of 14: the "A. Salieri" in Legnago. He has since won numerous awards including "Svirel" 2017, "IMC" 2022, "Euterpe Award 2023," "City of Crema" 2019, "Friuli Foundation" 2019, "Terenzio Zardini" 2021, "Rino Benedet" 2022, and "Maria Hofer" 2022.In 2023, he won the "MDW Great Talent Award," becoming the first Italian and organist to receive the award for best instrumentalist at the world's largest music university.

After completing his studies in conducting at the Imola Academy, he has conducted the "Orchestra Senzaspine," "Vienna Sinfonia," and the Chamber Choir and Orchestra of Varazdin, making his debut as both an opera and symphonic conductor. He is now continuing his studies in the class of Maestro Ion Marin at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, while also pursuing his research as an organist and harpsichordist under H. Lucke and F. Birsak.
