Paulina Ovadkova, a coloratura soprano, was born on February 11, 1997, in Slovakia. Since September 2023, she has been a regular guest performer at the Theatre in Košice, Slovakia, appearing both as the Queen of the Night and as Adele in the operetta “Die Fledermaus.” Starting in December 2024, she will be engaged as Stasi in the operetta “Die Csárdásfürstin” at the Chamber Opera Hamburg. Since June 2024, she has been giving regular concerts in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein.

Paulina made her role debut as the Queen of the Night in July 2023 at the Aiserbühne in Schwertberg and in September at the City Theatre Bad Hall. In February 2023, she captivated the audience in Graz in the role of Adele in the operetta “Die Fledermaus,” followed by her portrayal of Madame Herz in the opera “Der Schauspieldirektor” last year.

She began her musical education at the age of four at the music school in Trenčín. As a child, she stood out with numerous victories in competitions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Her love for music and exceptional talent led her to the Conservatory in Bratislava, where she specialized in opera singing. During her studies, she actively collaborated with the Philharmonic and the National Theatre in Bratislava and was involved in various projects.

In 2019, she successfully passed the entrance exams at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Prof. Barbara Helena Zubanovich Baranowska. She completed her bachelor’s degree in June 2023 under the guidance of Prof. Tom Sol. Starting in October 2023, she continues her master’s studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Martin Vacha.

In July 2022, she won first prize at the Prof. Dichler competition in Vienna and attended masterclasses with Prof. Helena Zubanovich Baranowska. Paulina currently lives in Austria and has a great passion for early music. As a soloist, she has sung in Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Handel’s oratorio “Messiah,” Haydn’s Paukenmesse, Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater,” Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, and Raphael Fusco’s “American Requiem.” In 2024, she performed Mozart’s Sparrow Mass and Schubert’s Mass in G major in Los Angeles.
