Biography
Tenor Gabriel Arce was born in Argentina, San Juan city and is currently based in Madrid, Spain.As a soloist, he has performed operas and concerts in different countries such as Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Malta, Israel, Greece and Argentina to name a few.
His repertoire includes roles such as FAUST in Faust, RODOLFO in La bohème, HOFFMANN in Les contes d'Hoffmann, TURRIDU in Cavalleria Rusticana, PINKERTON in Madama Butterfly, ALFREDO in La Traviata, DUCA DI MANTOVA in Rigoletto, NEMORINO in L'elisir d'amore, DON OTTAVIO in Don Giovanni and TAMINO in The Magic Flute among others.
Gabriel Arce has performed in opera houses, festivals and concert halls around the world such as the State Opera Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), Auditorio Nacional of Madrid (Spain), Teatru Manoel - Malta’s National Theater (Valletta, Malta), Palazzo Chiaromonte Steri (Palermo, Sicily), Sala dei Notari (Perugia, Italy), Ashdod Performing Arts Center (Israel), Große Aula Salzburg, Wiener Saal Stiftung Mozarteum, Schloss Leopoldskron (Salzburg, Austria), Teatro Pavon (Madrid, Spain), Schloss Amerang, Schloss Immenstadt Germany and Auditorio Juan Victoria (San Juan, Argentina).
His concert repertoire includes tenor solo parts in MESSA DI REQUIEM (G. Verdi), MESSA DI GLORIA (P. Mascagni), Beethoven's 9TH SYMPHONY, Bruckner's TE DEUM, PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE (G. Rossini), MESSA DI REQUIEM (W. A. Mozart), CORONATION MASS (W. A. Mozart), Haydn's PAUKENMESSE, ORATORIO DE NOËL (Camille Saint-Saëns) and MISA CRIOLLA by Ariel Ramirez to name a few.
He is a prizewinner of the 2022 Voice of Kamen Competition in Plovdiv as well as the Grandi Voci Competition in Salzburg in 2019 where he received the Puccini Prize.
He completed his Musical and Vocal Studies at the National University of San Juan with Fernando Lara and subsequently at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg under the tutelage of Mario Diaz.
